What are the minimum financial qualifications for the franchise?
Franchisees should have a net worth of at least $500,000 with access to liquid capital of $100,000. We also recommend additional capital or income to cover living expenses during the first 12 months in which your business is ramping up.
How much are royalties and advertising fees?
The royalty is 5.25% of monthly net billings generated from non-National Accounts and 6.25% of monthly net billings generated from National Accounts, both of which are subject to reduction if certain annual net billings are reached. The advertising fees are $250 per month or 3% of the previous month’s net billings, whichever is greater. Franchisees also pay a technology fee of 0.83% or $250 per month, whichever is greater.

If an agency is operating at average volumes of $1.5 million per year, they would be employing between 50-60 employees.

BrightStar Care franchisees receive four weeks of initial training as well as ongoing franchise support. We also provide training for each franchisee’s Director of Nursing, Sales Director, and Branch Manager. Franchisees also have the support of a Field Support Coach, BrightStar’s corporate staff, and fellow franchisees. We also host national conferences every year to bring together franchisees and their staffs, discuss new initiatives, and share best practices.
